Located 630 km from Florianópolis, Chapecó is an agro-industrial hub in the south of the country, as well as a great economic, cultural and political influence in the west of Santa Catarina. It is known as the Latin American Capital of Poultry Production and the Brazilian Center for Agricultural Research.

Founded in 1917, the city has indigenous roots and is completely planned, resembling a chessboard. Beautiful landscapes in the Uruguay River Valley, caves, waterfalls, historical buildings, monuments and museums are among its attractions. It also has the Condá Arena, with capacity for more than 20 thousand people.
