The capital of Mato Grosso, Cuiabá, is unique in many ways. It is located in the geographic center of South America and at the convergence of three large Brazilian biomes: the Amazon, the Cerrado and the Pantanal. It is an important development hub in the Central-West region, attracting a growing number of visitors.
It has one of the hottest climates in the country and offers a variety of attractions, including historic buildings, regional cuisine, and natural beauty. It is also the gateway to the North Pantanal, which is approximately 100 km away, and Chapada dos Guimarães, which is approximately 70 km away.
